I am about two weeks from swearing in as a full volunteer. We were just on second site visit and it was amazing. I am so ready to get started learning about my village and settling into my new home. I was able to see my actual site which is in Konona, Central Province. It is beutiful and near one of the best waterfalls in Zambia (Kundalila Falls) and also near the escarpment and a national forest. I can't believe how well my host family has set up my new home and insaka and the area is gorgeous.
My new adress is:
Joshua Girard
U.S. Peace Corps
P.O. Box 850010
Serenje, Central Province
ZAMBIA
And my cell number is:
0979076103
I will be getting a new number in a couple weeks since I will need to change to a network, MTN, that is in my area. Sorry for the short posts, but internet access is VERY limited.
I miss everyone and will have more time to write once training is finished!

JOSHUA... i'm soooooo happy you finally posted something, i was getting worried since i had heard nothing from you. i miss you and i've had about 30 moments already where i've gone to call you and then realized that i couldn't. stay safe! i will have to make up something to send to you now that you have an address again.

Sounds like you are happy, and I am glad. I hope all of your transitions go well, it sounds like you are living in a beautiful part of the world.
Way to go on making it through training, it is exhausting, no? Hope all is well and you can write more often once you get settled in at your site with pics and such. I am so anxious about finding out where i will be going, i am one month in and will find out after one more month where my site is. ciao amigo,
